LA28 Drop 2 Visa Presale- my experience
Recently, I got an email letting me know I was chosen for the LA28 Second Ticket Drop Visa Presale! While we only have one ticket left of our 12-ticket allotment, I wanted to take you along to show you what to expect, what’s available, and anything else I notice that may be useful!

As you may remember from the emails or LA28’s social media, a second ticket drop was coming.
In our LA28 FAQ post, we tried to answer some questions to the best of our ability regarding that second drop. Ironically, the accompanying video was uploaded the night before it was announced that there would be presales for Visa cardholders, Rams Season Ticket Holders, and possibly others that I’m not aware of.
Chosen Again
So, as I said… I was chosen to purchase tickets through the Visa presale. This is absolutely just luck—I happen to be a local who is also a Visa cardholder.
If this is your first time getting tickets, be sure to have your game plan ready. You can check out the strategy I used in my first LA28 ticket video or the accompanying post.
I logged in about an hour before my timeslot. While you can get through the queue early— you won’t get past a screen like this until the exact second your timeslot begins. I just wanted to make sure everything was working.
In for the Presale
Ok… we’re in!
You’ll have 48 hours to make your purchasing decisions. However, once you add even a single ticket to your cart, you’ll have exactly 30 minutes to complete your purchase before everything in your cart is returned to inventory.
So have your credit card ready to go—especially if you’re in the Visa Presale, since you’ll need to pay with a Visa card.
I was only in the queue for about two minutes before getting into the ticket purchasing area.
Once inside, it looks very similar to last time, although it definitely feels like there’s less inventory available—at least to me.
Some prices I saw included:
- Men’s Football, starting at $104.
- Swimming tickets start at $1,100 each. It’s one of the most popular Olympic events, so I wouldn’t expect many lower-priced tickets to become available.
- Football starting around $100
- Handball remains under $100, starting at $74
- Hockey still had tickets under $100
- Women’s Cricket had tickets starting at just $37
- Track and Field starting around $372, another popular one
- Beach Volleyball, lowest prices I saw were $558
- Fencing started at $303
- Slalom Paddle (OKC) $553
- BMX $233
- Men’s Baseball $130, which is a little more than we paid, so probably seats that are a bit closer.
- Track and Field Mixed Finals started at $620
- Women’s Hockey Bronze Medal Match started at $50
- And of course Closing Ceremonies started at $2,100 and were gone by the time I clicked on them (out of curiousity)
I was really just noting random prices as I scrolled through.
I should note that I’m in California and the ticket price I see is what I pay, no extra fees; they’re all included in the price. I’m not sure what other fees can be tacked on where you are. Matt addresses that in our FAQ video.
Final Thoughts
If you just want to experience the Olympics and aren’t set on a specific sport, definitely take a look at these preliminary rounds and sports you may not be familiar with. It’s also a great opportunity to support women’s sports.
So that’s what ticket availability looked like at 1:00 p.m. Pacific on July 29, 2026, during the Visa Presale. Just remember that inventory changes constantly. What you’re seeing here is simply a snapshot of what was available during my timeslot. By the time you watch this, there may be more—or less—available.
We also had a friend whose timeslot was about three hours after mine, and they were able to score their very first Olympic tickets for Handball and Rugby.
